Databases

Nebraska Registered Groundwater Wells Database

This database is administered by the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The Conservation and Survey Division (CSD), of the School of Natural Resources (SNR), was responsible for automating the geologic logs portion of this data set.

Nebraska Statewide Test-hole Database Retrieval System

The Nebraska statewide test-hole database contains information for about 5,500 test holes drilled since 1930 by CSD/SNR and cooperating agencies. Test-hole location data, as well as lithologic descriptions, stratigraphic interpretations and geophysical log records are included in the database. In addition, CSD/SNR maintains an extensive collection of geologic samples obtained from the drilling process.

Statewide GIS Datasets

Nebraska Statewide Digital Databases for GIS/Mapping

The Center for Advanced Land Management Information Technologies (CALMIT) and CSD/SNR are engaged in assembling statewide spatial databases. Several of these databases are water-related. All statewide GIS databases are in a common map projection. The download files are in ARC/INFO export format.
