How can I improve the facility entrance?
First impressions can say a lot about you. Tell your neighbors what you value by improving the appearance of entrance to your farm or facility. This can include landscaping, but it should also include clear signage that declares the name of the facility and all necessary warnings and restrictions. Most animal production facilities are bio-secure sites so the entrance to your facility should have clear warnings about biosecurity and contact information for authorizing entry. People can unknowingly carry diseases and thus all normal traffic to your facility is a potential disease risk to your animals. Reduce this risk by establishing clear areas for vehicle traffic and visitors that are separate from animals. In How does site limit potential entry of disease vectors? you can find more information about biosecurity on the farm.
